Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CronJobs Discord bot, the CronJobs Discord server, and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by CronJobs ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

CronJobs is a Discord-based career platform for software engineers. The Service provides:

• Automated job listings sourced from public company career pages and ATS platforms.
• Community channels for career discussion, salary talk, and resume feedback.
• Premium features including personalized job feeds, AI-powered job search, and resume tailoring (paid subscription required).

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, consistent with Discord's Terms of Service. The Service is designed for users in the United States. Job listings are filtered to USA-based positions.

3. Your Account

You access the Service through your Discord account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Discord account. We are not responsible for any actions taken through your account.

4. Premium Subscription

• CronJobs Premium is available for $9.99 per month, billed through Discord's native subscription system.
• Payment processing, billing, and refunds are handled entirely by Discord. See Discord's Subscription FAQ for billing questions.
• Premium features are available immediately upon subscription and revoked when the subscription ends.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice posted in the CronJobs Discord server.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape, copy, or extract data from the Service.
• Post unsolicited job opportunities, recruiting messages, or service promotions in the server.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other members of the community.
• Share content from the #salary-talk channel outside the server.
• Attempt to circumvent premium feature restrictions.
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
• Violate Discord's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines while using the Service.

Violations may result in warnings, timeouts, or permanent bans at moderator discretion.

6. Job Listings Disclaimer

Job listings are sourced from publicly available company career pages and ATS (Applicant Tracking System) APIs. We do not:

• Guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of any listing.
• Verify that listed positions are currently open or accepting applications.
• Have any relationship with the companies whose jobs appear in our feeds.
• Provide job placement, recruiting, or employment services.

CronJobs is an information service. We are not a recruiter, staffing agency, or employer. You apply to jobs at your own discretion and risk.

7. Resume Tailoring Disclaimer

The resume tailoring feature uses AI to suggest modifications to your resume. These are suggestions only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and submitting your resume. We do not guarantee that AI-tailored resumes will result in interviews or job offers. Never include false information in your resume.

8. Intellectual Property

The CronJobs bot, data pipeline, branding, mascot artwork, and original content are the property of CronJobs. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission.

Job listing data is sourced from public APIs and remains the property of the respective companies.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violations of these Terms or the server rules, without prior notice. You may stop using the Service at any time by leaving the Discord server.

10. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CRONJOBS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CronJobs from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date and announced in the CronJobs Discord server. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
