CronJobs ("we," "us," or "our") operates the CronJobs Discord bot and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use our service:

• Discord User ID — Your unique Discord identifier, used to associate your preferences and deliver personalized features.
• Role and Preference Selections — Your selected engineer type, work mode preference, seniority level, tech stack, salary floor, company blocklist, and feed cadence settings.
• Bot Interaction Content — Messages you send directly to the CronJobs bot (e.g., search queries, onboarding responses). We do not read or store messages in public community channels.
• Resume Files — If you use the resume tailoring feature, your uploaded resume and the job description you provide are temporarily stored for processing.
• Subscription Status — Whether you have an active CronJobs Premium subscription, managed through Discord's billing system.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Deliver personalized job feeds based on your role, preferences, and tech stack.
• Power conversational job search and resume tailoring features.
• Track which jobs have already been delivered to you, to avoid duplicates.
• Manage your subscription status and premium feature access.
• Improve the service (aggregated, non-identifying analytics only).

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's infrastructure:

• User preferences are stored in Cloudflare D1 (a serverless database).
• Feed schedules and entitlement status are stored in Cloudflare KV (key-value storage).
• Resume files are stored in Cloudflare R2 (object storage) and are automatically deleted after 4 hours.
• Pipeline observability events are retained for 14 days and then pruned.

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections. We do not store Discord authentication tokens or passwords.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties.

Your data may be processed by:

• Cloudflare — Our hosting and infrastructure provider.
• OpenAI (via Cloudflare AI Gateway) — To process AI-powered features such as job search, resume tailoring, and job enrichment. Only the minimum necessary data is sent (e.g., your search query or resume content for the duration of processing).
• Discord — For subscription billing and bot interactions, subject to Discord's own Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

• User preferences: Retained while your account is active. Deleted upon request or if you leave the server.
• Resume files: Automatically deleted after 4 hours.
• Delivered job tracking: Retained while your account is active to prevent duplicate deliveries.
• Pipeline events: Pruned after 14 days.

6. Your Rights

You may:

• Request deletion of all your stored data by contacting us via Discord DM or email.
• Leave the server at any time, which stops all data collection and feed delivery.
• Modify your preferences at any time using the bot's slash commands.
• Cancel your subscription through Discord's subscription management.

7. Children's Privacy

CronJobs is not intended for users under the age of 13, consistent with Discord's Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Scope

CronJobs is designed for and operates within the United States. Job listings are filtered to USA-based positions only.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date and announced in the CronJobs Discord server.
