Built by software engineers, for software engineers hunting their next role.
CronJobs exists because every existing job board failed the same way: stale listings, aggregator middlemen, walled-off salary data, and zero community. We built the opposite — a Discord community with direct-source job feeds, anonymous salary benchmarking, and free AI career tools for every member.
What makes CronJobs different?
CronJobs is a free Discord community for US-based software engineers. Every member gets direct-source job feeds pulled from 12 ATS platforms plus 5 aggregators, 8 role-based forum channels, anonymous community salary benchmarking, and a free AI assistant that lives inside Discord. Paid tiers exist for candidates who want personalized DM feeds and for employers who want to post roles.
We are not a recruiting firm, a resume SaaS, or an aggregator. We are a community-first job board built on top of Discord because that is where software engineers already talk.
How does the job pipeline work?
The ingestion pipeline runs on Cloudflare Workers and queues. Every hour, the cron-orchestrator worker kicks off ATS crawls across Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Rippling, Workday, BambooHR, BreezyHR, JazzHR, iCIMS, and Taleo, plus RSS pulls from Indeed, RemoteOK, Remotive, Jobicy, and Hacker News Hiring. Raw listings flow through ats-crawl-consumer and rss-feed-consumer, get normalized and deduplicated in normalize-consumer, and upsert into the D1 database.
Four times a day, the channel-post-worker publishes fresh listings into the forum channels as structured threads. Premium members also get DM feeds on a 15-minute cadence through dm-feed-worker. Everything runs on Cloudflare end-to-end — no third-party servers in the hot path, no aggregator lag.
Who is behind CronJobs?
CronJobs is built and operated by a small team of working software engineers with years of experience shipping Cloudflare Workers applications, data pipelines, and developer tools. We have been on both sides of the hiring table, and we know exactly how frustrating the standard job hunt feels. Every decision on the platform — from the forum-thread format to the free AI channel — comes from that experience.
The platform is technically honest: we publish our privacy policy, we document how data flows, and we never sell or share your personal information. If you want to ask a question, join the server and ping an admin.
What principles guide the platform?
- Direct-source only. Every listing links to the original posting. No aggregator middleman, no expired jobs.
- Free for candidates. Joining the community, seeing the feeds, and asking the free AI bot costs nothing and always will.
- Salary transparency as default. Listings include salary ranges when available.
#salary-talkexists so members can share anonymous comp data before negotiation. - Community before product. Features are built in response to member feedback, not roadmap theater. If something does not work for the community, we cut it.
- USA-focused, for now. Every listing is filtered to US-based roles. International expansion is on the roadmap but not live.
